Experience

Editor in Chief (Fall 2008-present) – Responsible for production of the twice-weekly student newspaper. Coordinates coverage of large-scale events, manages a staff of approximately 50 writers, photographers and editors.
Sports Editor (Spring 2008) – Responsible for the organization and production of the newspaper’s sports section since January 2008.
Blogmaster (May 2007-present) – In charge of the founding, maintenance and growth blogs.themiamihurricane.com, The Miami Hurricane’s blog site, as well as a contributor at “Bunch’s Big Blog.”
Multimedia contributor (2007-present) – Involved with the first for-newspaper video presentation on The Miami Hurricane’s website, as well as the first podcast.
Sports reporter (September 2006-December 2008) – Covered a variety of sporting events, as well as becoming the senior football writer for the Miami Hurricanes in the fall of 2007. Responsible for breaking news coverage involving the move to Dolphin Stadium and in-depth coverage of the closing of the Orange Bowl.
News reporter (December 2006) – On and off contributor to the news section of the newspaper, especially dealing with breaking news events.

News reporter (Spring 2007) – covered University of Miami beat for publication, involved in breaking news coverage related to the city council election of 2007 and university reaction to Virginia Tech shooting.

Society of Professional Journalists, University of Miami chapter Programming Director (2008-present), Vice President (2007-2008) and member (2006-present)
WVUM Sports Staff, (2005-present) – Play-by-play coverage of University of Miami sports for the student radio station, including the 2006 Miami/FIU football brawl.
UMTV contributor, (2008-present) – Created news packages for the student television news program, Newsvision. Includes editing and on-camera reporting.
